Recent custom ordered Klon Centaur clones, including a gold Klon clone for Spinal Tap's Nigel Tufnel (aka: Christopher Guest).
I am now concentrating on building the Klon Centaur clone, and (for now) Klon klone circuit board sales are temporarily discontinued.
Klon Centaur clone (Klone) is available for $200
The latest news is that changing the IC chips in the Klon klone is a positive thing to do, and yields excellent results. It is not absolutely necessary to change the buffer IC chip, to yield desired result. It is
interesting to note that using the OPA2134 IC chip did not thrill me at all, yet used in an Analogman King of Tone, the result was pleasing to the ear. I have found an IC chip, that really makes me smile in the
Klon clone. I am still having fun experimenting with different IC chips in the Klon klone.
The big question, how does it sound? It must sound GREAT, because a customer has purchased another Klon klone from me. This same customer already owns an original gold and silver Klon Centaur. After hearing
and comparing his original Klon against my 1st Klone, he decided to order a gold Klon clone from me with a blue opaque LED. I view this as the best kind of testimonial ever, "repeat customers."
Let me build you a custom shop boutique pedal klone with your choice of enclosure color, size, and LED color.
Cheers,
Raymond Goncalves
