These are like the very earliest BYOT 2009 version complete with SILK SCREEN LEGEND, DUAL SIDED, PLATED THRU-HOLES, and a green solder mask. The design has been slightly improved and tweaked, including silk screen legend minor corrections, and some more breathing room for some of the resistors, and a better fit for the zener diode.
Many have requested the return of the silk screen legend, and many have liked the double sided, plated thru-hole circuit boards better than the single sided circuit boards.

Please note: The kits will include all of the electronic component parts necessary to populate the circuit board (included), (with the exception of the germ diodes). Sockets are included for the 3 IC chips. 2 * TL072 IC chips and charge pump IC chip are included.

All of our kits do NOT include the pedal hardware, enclosure and items listed below.

The necessary hardware, powder coated enclosure and germ diodes can be purchased from Pedal Parts Plus in Evans, LA and Small Bear Electronics in Brooklyn, NY.

With the exception of the germ diodes, the hardware prices certainly add to the cost of any boutique guitar effects pedal.

The extra cost can be anywhere between $33-$37. If these hardware parts were included in the kit, the cost would have to be added to the price of the kit.

I feel it is much easier for the customer to purchase these items from the 2 USA based vendors which I have already mentioned, as they are top notch.

From a business perspective, this is a win-win situation for both the consumer and the USA based pedal parts vendors.

You choose the size and color of your enclosure.
You choose the type of germ diodes to use in the Klon Centaur clone.
You choose the IC chips to use (TL072 IC's and sockets are included).
You choose the type of DPDT stompswitch to use, or just use a 3PDT.
You are in control. It is your tone. Ain't nothin cept tone.

The Klon clone kits are very easy to assemble (just like paint by numbers).

There are (34) individual small ziploc bags which contain all of the included electronic component parts. This aids in the identification of all of the parts and very easy parts placement.

I do not understand why, Bill of Klon-Siberia does not make provision in his Klon Centaur professional overdrive/ clean booster to allow his customers to change the IC chips to their individual taste?

It is still possible to goop the circuit, but allow provision for 2 IC chip sockets to allow his customers some choice in what chips they wish to use for their own tone.
