These are like the very earliest BYOT 2009 version complete with SILK SCREEN LEGEND, DUAL SIDED, PLATED THRU-HOLES, and a green solder mask. The design has been slightly improved and tweaked, including silk screen legend minor corrections, and some more breathing room for some of the resistors, and a better fit for the zener diode.
Many have requested the return of the silk screen legend, and many have liked the double sided, plated thru-hole circuit boards better than the single sided circuit boards.

I assembled my 1st Klon Centaur clone March 20, 2010. On March 21, 2010 I housed my prototype Klon clone in an unpainted original Hammond 1590B type enclosure with a clear orange super bright LED using a fancy metal LED holder.

*****Please note*****: I recently received a negative feedback from a disgruntled ebay customer who clearly does not know the difference between the "cathode" and "anode" end of a diode, and consequently ruined his Klon clone type circuit board, and is trying to blame the design of the circuit board for his failure to understand the markings on simple diodes. Intelligent informed minds will see beyond this ruse!!!
Remember basic electronics theory? Banded or striped end of a diode is the (+) Cathode side, and the other side is (-) Anode. School is out!

Please Note: I have listed carefully what is included and what is NOT included with the Klon clone electronic parts kits. Just so you know exactly what you are purchasing (NO misunderstandings).
Please Note: The kits include all of the electronic component parts necessary to populate the circuit board (included), (with the exception of the germ diodes). Sockets are included for the 3 IC chips (2 * TL072 IC's, 1 charge pump IC), which are included.
All of our kits do NOT include the pedal hardware, enclosure and items listed below. The necessary hardware, powder coated enclosure and germ diodes can be purchased from Pedal Parts Plus in Evans, LA and Small Bear Electronics in Brooklyn, NY.

With the exception of the germ diodes, the hardware prices certainly add to the cost of any boutique guitar effects pedal. The extra cost can be anywhere between $33-$37.
If these hardware parts were included in the kit, the cost would have to be added to the price of the kit.
I feel it is much easier for the customer to purchase these items from the 2 USA based vendors which I have already mentioned, as they are top notch.
From a business perspective, this is a win-win situation for both the consumer and the USA based pedal parts vendors.
You choose the size and color of your enclosure.
You choose the type of germ diodes to use in the Klon Centaur clone.
You choose the IC chips to use (TL072 IC's and sockets are included).
You choose the type of DPDT stompswitch to use, or just use a 3PDT.
You are in control. It is your tone. Ain't nothin cept TONE.
The Klon clone type kits are very easy to assemble (just like paint by numbers).
There are (34) individual small ziploc bags which contain all of the included electronic component parts. This aids in the identification of all of the parts and very easy parts placement.
"Are the caps the Panasonics spec'd on the parts list?"
Yes, the caps are the Panasonic brownie type, which are the metal poly film type. The electrolytic caps are also Panasonic (Matsushita corp).
Please note: I substituted a 12.1K value metal film resistor for the 12K, but it is still within the -+1% range tolerance.
Only the highest quality electronic parts components have been used for the Klon Centaur clone type boutique pedal kit.
All the electronic component parts values are individually separated with small ziploc bags (34) in total.
The kit build is much easier with this arrangement.

The Klon Centaur type clone circuit board is designed with the highest quality in mind. It is a double sided, plated thru hole, solder masked, and silk screen legend circuit board.
This boutique pedal kit is for the novice or experienced boutique pedal guitar effects builder or hobbyist. It is a fairly simple build. The circuit board can fit into a Hammond 1590B or a 1590BB type enclosure. NSC is a very good brand that is lower cost for the same type aluminum enclosures.
